Fundraising means Stewardship

CAP is humbled and very grateful for all the donations received from church partners, individual donors, as well as grants from Trusts & Foundations supporting our work throughout 2024. We ended the year where we hoped and prayed we’d be financially. Thanks be to God!

Our stewardship of your support and donations is more than raising the necessary income to cover the costs of our work. It is about ensuring that the funds we receive actually strengthen our church partners so that people in their churches and communities live enriched and transformed lives. Through money coaching, our aim is that they might live with less stress over too little and too much wealth, by learning some new practical skills and wisdom about money, as well as experiencing the fullness of life that is only available through the Gospel and Jesus Christ.

An insight into this stewardship is found towards the end of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans, in chapter 15 verses 26-29. He pauses his next bold missionary trip to preach the Gospel; choosing instead to go “to Jerusalem in the service of the saints there”*. This “service” is with a financial gift and donation from the Gentile churches to the Jewish, now Christian Church, in Jerusalem. Not only is Paul demonstrating that God provides for His one church now incl. both Jews and Gentiles but also that their act of giving is due to the efficacy of the Gospel i.e. the power to transform many lives in many ways. The act of giving and receiving, as well as the act of speaking about the fullness of life found in Jesus, are all parts of the one Gospel. *quote taken from The Shortfall by Chris Wright with James Cousins. As you maybe reflect on your charitable giving for 2024, its not too late to support the work of CAP Ireland this year! For any individual praying about making a donation, if CAP receives your donation by the end of December, then CAP can also avail of the Tax ReClaim scheme next year, with your donation of at least €250 within this current 2024 tax year.

With donors completing and signing a simple one-page enduring certification, CAP Ireland may submit a tax reclaim for up to 45% of the value of your donation but at zero extra cost or burden to you as our donor!

For donors who paid personal income tax in the State under PAYE or as self-employed then we’d be very grateful for your continued support by downloading and completing this enduring 5-year certificate, issued by the Revenue Commissioners. You can then scan and email it back to alan@capireland.ie please.

THANK YOU
