Now in our third year of activity, CAP Ireland is thrilled to announce our first year of full participation in Global Money Week #GMW2026. After finding our unique rhythm and defining our contribution to the financial landscape in Ireland, we are ready to step onto the global stage to support the financial well-being of young people.
Our unique “voice”? Finding our bespoke perspective and contribution for GMW has been important. Especially as our moneycoaching is providing financial literacy and education which complements other related services. Also, as the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission #CCPC is the lead agency for GMW across Ireland and as our #moneycoaching signposts to their services, we are pleased to collaborate in this way with them.
CAP is also about stewardship and as GMW focuses on younger people gaining essential life-long financial skills and confidence, it aligns with our view that prevention is always better than having to muddle through financial distress(es) or shock(s).
CAP Ireland, is part of an international community of like-minded partner countries, so it makes sense for CAP to be part of a wider global initiative like GMW. A big shout-out to our country colleagues in the UK (founded 1996); USA; Canada; Australia and New Zealand.
